PHILIPPE PERRAUD, dans ROUTE 66, qui reprend "Route 66" (Bobby Troup, 1957), festival ROCK ON à Grenoble en juin 1983. Mon pote d'adolescence avec qui, en 1978-79, j'allais acheter des disques à la Fnac en vélo quand c'était encore un disquaire, joua guitare/chant dans ce cover band éphémère. C'était un grand timide, il m'avait dit ne pas supporter les regards du public, les jugements, et il n'a pas continué la scène. Philippe Perraud était un bon guitariste, et il enregistrera plus tard, en 1993, des rythmiques efficaces sur deux titres de mon album "ULTIME ATOME". En tout cas certains pourront reconnaître quelques tronches dans le public.

Nous ne disposons pas des mêmes informations ou nous n’avons pas la même appréciation de ce qui est « Rockabilly »! Apparition du genre : 1954 (puis explosion jusqu’en 1958). Les références antérieures étant encore à classifier dans le « Hillbilly ».

JLP was the greatest song-fucker of his generation . Everyone seemingly hated him for it, increasing the proportion of spite & suppression to his every vast advance in talent: by the time of the Las Vegas Story Mr Pierce was effectively blacklisted; and by the time Idiot Waltz came out on Lucky Jim, another decade mocked, drained, pissed on, and shucked him, making the song as much about the pigs and thugs of the music "industry " as it was about the tragedy of a failed love affair. A few years later he was dead at 37. I myself will never forgive this barbarity of a culture and all its cutesy cute philistines for killing him. Bad America won.

Amazing footage of Steve Dior (ex The Idols), Jerry Nolan (ex New York Dolls, The Heartbreakers, The Idols, etc) and the boys!! Jerry Nolan is either stoned or terribly depressed & bored… I lean more towards the latter lol… Barry Jones (ex The Idols) must have been out the group by this point even though he plays on the “On Stage” 1986 LP live album… I think Barry Jones had already joined Johnny Thunders (ex New York Dolls, ex The Heartbreakers, etc) by this point who were gearing up to tour Australia 1986 along with Glen Matlock (ex Sex Pistols, ex Rich Kids), and also Jerry Nolan… So I don’t think Jerry Nolan stuck around long with The London Cowboys but it’s awesome his amazing talent on drums was recorded with The London Cowboys for posterity!! Who are the new cats in the background… Is that Gerry Laffy (ex Girl) on guitar and Alan D’Alvarez on bass?

Ils avaient tout pour réussir....matos, look, originalité, Patrice (UDO), concerts.....mais malheureusement "Bardos" c'est pas paname et les médias (radios surtout - FM) les ont ignorés sauf le public dispersé aux quatre coins de l'hexagone. Dommage que sous cette forme à 5 (façon Accept), ils ont explosé pour finir à 4.... J'ai toujours aimé "uniquement" sa musique Heavy Metal avec des envolés sauvage et mélodique. Aujourd'hui, ça déchire autant mais avec ses changements fréquent de line-up et son (ultra) Speed Metal, désolé mais je trouve que tout se ressemble et qu'il perd son temps à baclé ses chansons, désolé Bruno* 🤨. *(j'ai quasi tous les CD de Killers acheté chez Brennus)👍 En rêgle général comme tout bon raleur, nous avons eu de très bon groupe en France, (Vulcain, Warning, ADX, High Power, H-Bomb, Voie de Fait, Strattson, Attentat Rock...) mais pas de vrais producteurs de Hard Rock. 😮 Le son, les arrangements, l'ingénieur du son, la masterisation....c'était que dalle ! Les maisons de disques n'ont jamais (à de rares exceptions - Warning) financer des producteurs de renom pour rendre justice au travail effectué en studio par les musicos et c'est là un des problèmes de la non réussite des groupes. Sans bonne carte de visite, pas d'appui des médias et des mécènes. 😕
